The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Course (EHS) is an 8-week discipleship course which covers ideas and skills that help people to grow as healthy followers of Jesus. It is built on the conviction that emotional health and spiritual maturity are inseparable, and therefore we need to engage with deep and difficult areas of our life if we are to grow in faith. Areas that are covered include self-awareness, dealing with our past, facing difficult times in our lives, emotional maturity, and intentional spiritual practices that help us centre on God's presence.
You can find more information about the EHS course and other related topics at www.emotionallyhealthy.org.
The EHS Course at St. Mark's will run on Wednesday evenings in Term 2, 7.30-9.30pm, from April 18th. The sessions are a mixture of large group teaching and videos and small group discussion. Participants will be part of a small group table for the duration of the course.
You will need to purchase a 3-book pack, which includes the EHS book, a course workbook, and a book with daily devotions for use during the course. The cost of the pack is $40, and books will be given out at the start of the course. Payment can be made and books collected at the first session, at church on April 11th, or from the church office.
